We here report our series studies on the co-evolution issue of AGNs and their host galaxies. We established a clear L/LEdd-D4000 evolutionary sequence for AGNs based on the combination of multi-wavelength observations, including soft X-ray, optical, middle/far infrared. In addition to the L/LEdd-D4000 evolutionary sequence, other AGN’s properties (such as narrow-line ratios, spectral profile of narrow emission-lines) are also found to evolve with the host galaxies. With these data and supernova survey of massive star death, we put forward evidence supporting that 1) there are two populations for LINERs, which are possibly at two different evolutionary stages, 2) AGN’s central activity is related with the gas dynamics of the disk of the host galaxies.
